Discover@UGM Advanced Searching - Workshop In-Person
Part of our "Unravelling Research" series of workshops, this workshop will help you develop your confidence in searching for good quality resources for upcoming assignments. This workshop is designed for all students who already have a basic understanding of searching for information.
By the end of this workshop, you will have gained skills in how to:
- Understand the various advanced search techniques available in Discover@UGM
- Demonstrate effective use of Boolean operators, using Truncation and proximity searching methods
- Developed confidence in searching Discover@UGM to find good quality information
- Save your searches in Discover@UGM, so you can go back to them at a later point
The workshop will be held in person in the Library Learning Space (LLS), which is located within the Peter Marsh Library.
